Placeholders
Placeholders put information from a job into the steps of a pipeline. You use them in conditions and in the step Text rendern (render text). When the step runs, comrce cloudprint replaces each placeholder with the job’s value.
Available placeholders
Section titled “Available placeholders”| Placeholder | What it returns |
|---|---|
{PageCount} | The number of pages in the document. |
{PipelineName} | The name of the pipeline that’s running. |
{PipelineId} | The number of the pipeline that’s running. |
{FileName} | The file name of the document. |
{FileSize} | The file size of the document in bytes. |
{FileId} | The ID of the stored document. |
{JobId} | The ID of the job. |
{MetaInformation.Feldname} | The value of the field Feldname in the job’s meta information. Replace Feldname with the field’s name, for example {MetaInformation.UserName}. |
{Page} | The page number. Only in Text rendern. |
How to write them
Section titled “How to write them”- Exactly as listed, with curly brackets and the same upper and lower case.
{pagecount}isn’t replaced. - Field names in meta information also match exactly, including case.
- In text rules of a condition, write placeholders without quotes. comrce cloudprint puts the value in quotes itself.
After a processing step, {JobId}, {FileId}, {FileName} and {PageCount} refer to the changed document and its new job.
When a meta information field is missing
Section titled “When a meta information field is missing”If a job doesn’t have the field a placeholder asks for:
- In a condition, the rule counts as not met, and the job stops in that branch.
- In Text rendern, the step can’t run, and the job stops there.
Which meta information a job has
Section titled “Which meta information a job has”The fields in the meta information depend on the system that sends the job. To see them for a particular job, open its details under Pipeline- Aufträge (pipeline jobs). The panel Meta- Daten (meta data) lists each Parametername (parameter name) with its Wert (value).
